As with so many churches the attendance of children and youth is a challenge with so many other competing activites
happening on a Sunday.
To address this challenge the congregation holds monthly Family services at 10.00 am in the Melrose Church Hall geared to children and
their family, be it parents, grandparents or friends. In addition there are two special and well attended family services,
these being the Christingle service held in the Melrose Church on Christmas Eve and the Easter Morning service conducted
early morning on the Eildon Hills
Forthcoming services to put in the diary:
These services are fun and informal and a warm welcome is extended to all. Watch this space for the themes of future services.

the church hall.
Messy Church is a way of being and doing church for families based on creativity, hospitality and
celebration. The first event was a Christmas Celebration held on Sunday 17 December between 3.00-5.00pm in Melrose Parish
Church Hall at which Games, Crafts, Stories, Singing, Food, and Fun were all enjoyed.
The third Messy Church is to be held on the 13th May again between 3.00 and 5.00 pm.
As with the Christmas Messy Church we need people to make this happen. People to help with food, crafts, games,
singing and stories….Interested, then please contact Rosie. For more information on Messy Church go to
